History

Modig Machine Tool has long had the vision to start designing and producing automation equipment. Our ambitions came true in 2022 when David Modig, Sven, Olof, and Bengt Ståhl launched Modig Automation Systems. Altogether Modig Machine Tool and the brothers have 110 years of machine tool manufacturing and automation experience.

The three brothers established their company in 1987. Since then, more than 12,000 automation solutions have been developed and delivered primarily to the manufacturing sector worldwide. Throughout the years the brothers have gained extensive knowledge and gathered a team of specialists in robot automation with long experience in handling technology. There is no doubt that Sven, Olof, and Bengt are passionate about automation. Within Modig Automation Systems they will continue to follow their heart by working closely with the customers to design customized automation solutions that extract maximum productivity from the customer’s machining centers.

Modig Automation Systems is located in Värnamo, Sweden. At this site, all automation concepts are designed and developed, preassembly of linear robot systems as well as configuration of 6-axis applications, optimized for the wide range of MODIG Machine Tool.

Test trials and FAT are made always at MODIG headquarters in Kalmar for the best synergies and efficiency for you as a customer
